Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

On the commercial law vacation scheme, I completed real-life and fictional tasks across two weeks. I was also able to attend talks about practice areas and talk to lawyers at the firm who provided me with lots of insight about their work and life at the firm.

I was given assessed tasks as well as trainee-level work.

I received a lot of support from the graduate recruitment team as well as my associate principal and trainee buddy. I was able to ask lots of questions and seek guidance.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it a lot. I do, however, think that every person I interacted with was different. This means that it took time to get to understand boundaries and dynamics.
