Vacation Scheme Student Review

The scheme gave me the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to real work, engage with people across the firm, and gain insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of trainees. I completed a range of research, drafting, and technology-focused tasks, participated in talks and court work, and actively built relationships across departments. My week was shaped by clear personal objectives, which helped me stay focused, proactive, and intentional throughout.

Understanding the business and the roles available was insightful and helped me see how different teams contribute to the firm’s broader strategy. Speaking with people across departments clarified what trainees do day-to-day and how their responsibilities evolve. It gave me a clear sense of where my interests align and how I could contribute in the future.
