Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
My experience has been the perfect balance of challenging, rewarding and fascinating. I love the culture and the people here and the employee benefits are great.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Programming/Rapid Prototyping - literally just chill with my colleagues, drink coffee and spam code all day long, love it!
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I think deserve a little more currently as I'm still on scheme, afterwards my pay goes up to a reasonable amount.

I have everything, a mentor, buddy, great line manager, great sub-team lead and great team-lead. It's all gravy baby
How is your work-life balance?

Engineering is great for work-life. Core hours are 10-3 Mon-Thurs and 10-12 on Friday, 37 hour hybrid contract.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Inclusive atmosphere for all nationalities, genders, sexualities, etc. It's a relaxed culture, everyone is supportive and you're always encouraged to learn.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
It's quite difficult to find out what you're actually applying for (for obvious reasons - defence) but if you end up in something you don't enjoy you can just change team.
