Summer Insight Week Review

Each day we had a fixed schedule. We would have several talks and training, especially to do with the use of the Bloomberg terminal and the day-to-day roles of the employees working within the Analytics and Sales and Global Data divisions. Moreover, we also had to complete a project in teams by the end of the week. Finally, we had several hands-on exercises as well as networking events.

It was insightful and definitely helped me clarify what career path I wanted to go into. Bloomberg definitely has managed to really excite mew into trying to pursue a career within their company.

Yes, many, both in terms of soft skills and hard skills. The main skill I developed was how to use and navigate the Bloomberg Terminal, however I also developed my power-point, presentation, team-working, analytical and networking skills amongst others.

I feel like the company culture at Bloomberg is one of the best things they have to offer. Everyone is extremely friendly and very easily approachable (even senior managers). Everyone is always willing to help you and answer your questions, not only the current employees but also my fellow insighters. I felt very valued within the company and they invested a lot in our training. Overall, Bloomberg has a very positive, vibrant, understanding and fast-paced environment. They really stick to their company values very well.

I absolutely adored the insight, for many many reasons. The first one for me would probably be the people everyone is super friendly and collaborative. Additionally, it was very very interesting to learn about the terminal and how to properly use it. All of the talks were very varied and interesting, covering several areas of the business. I must add as well that the Bloomberg building is stunning and it really does feel unreal to work here. I feel like I have not only gained very valuable work experience, but also a bunch of new friends who I really hope to work with in the future.
