Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
On a day to day, we were taught new concepts and were given overviews on financial markets and the different players in them. Applying knowledge to functions in the terminal was present throughout the whole week, which was helpful in applying theory into real-life scenarios. Every day, we would also get time to work on our projects, gradually building up the time throughout the week which allowed to gain momentum for the project.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very insightful and interesting. Also being able to talk to employees throughout the week in the networking sessions meant I could ask any and all questions I had, giving me great insight into the full time job and any potential roles and career paths which was very great.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have developed my skills on Bloomberg Terminal. Having only completed part of the Bloomberg Markets Concept prior to starting the week, I had vague knowledge and understanding of how the terminal worked, but not to the degree I do today. Although I have only used it for a week, the constant relation back to the terminal has meant I have developed my skills thoroughly. I have also further expanded my knowledge on finance.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very welcoming, helpful and there was a constant feeling of being supported and reinforced in any and all ambitions/queries/doubts you had which was very good. I have never experienced anything like it.
