Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
It has been a very positive experience, while a steep learning curve you certainly know you are contributing to your team and being valued for your time. It is clear that you are supported in aligning your graduate role to future aspirations, although the responsibility is on you to get the most out of the role.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
You are never working on one single task and have the opportunity to explore additional responsibilities alongside your main graduate role, to ensure you get that breadth of experience and challenge.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
Unlike prior roles before I started working at BAE, each task can be clearly defined in how it contributes value to a project. The range of professionals you quickly become associated with ensures you feel both recognised and respected for your work.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It`s one of those places I can imagine working at for a long time due to the opportunities available. Even if this changes BAE Systems is such a boost to ones career trajectory once they have worked there.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
I imagined it would be different, however for the most part it has been clearly outlined as to what I should expect if successful and so far it is exactly what I was aiming for when I started considering my professional future after university.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Initially I didn`t succeed on the final interview, however I was invited to be placed on the reserve list because I made a good impression. It was 6 months later that I got a call whereby I had got the job I applied for due to an expansion in Bristol. So even if it isn`t good news, keep your options open and maintain the professional network as it could make it so they think of you when a role becomes available.
