Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Excellent so far. Had a very supported introduction into the company. Lots of resources and guidance to access. Impactful job role.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Creating models and processes. I enjoy communicating with a range of stakeholders and increasing my technical skills in an impactful role - I can see the clear vision and place for my work.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Been given a very supported introduction, easing into more independent work which is used by many stakeholders and team members.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I think it is very fair pay. There was also a 2k starting bonus which helped to set me up post university. There are lots of benefits to claim, good pension and share scheme and great paid overtime or flexi time.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Learning a very transferable skill set and learning to act professionally and network. Very supportive in career progression and supportive of finding a role you enjoy.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Learning a lot via both. Lots of opportunity to set up workshops or sign up to more training if you want to accelerate your learning more.

Large range of support from line manager, early careers, buddy, other graduates, team members. HR is easily accessible and mentor scheme easy to access.
How is your work-life balance?

Flexi time allows for a great balance. The commute can feel long but that's a personal choice to live further away, as the pay would allow me to move out of home.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Welcoming, inclusive, positive. Even if your team works from home, there are plenty of desks to book if you work better in person.

Lots of training and briefs on this topic. Colleagues are all vey inclusive. Could be more diverse.

Hard to completely understand each role prior to starting due to security, but has lived up to my expectations on the value I feel I add, the level of challenge and support I feel.

Focus on BAEs core values and where you have shown these in your education and career so far. Relax and be yourself - everyone is friendly and welcoming and wants the best for you.
