Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Good experience, overwhelming business and work to join but the induction process is very helpful and there is a lot of support and opportunity to learn within the company. My team has been very proactive in managing learning and work opportunities. Within a couple of months you are made to feel like an integral part of the business and trusted with exciting work.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Main responsibilities are managing different stakeholders and as well organising team members in a variety of business operation projects both internally and externally to the business. Most enjoyable element is the variety of tasks completed to support these responsibilities and projects.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Team values and trusts everyone equally so even being new or from a different background to other team members the culture of the team means that you feel important and safe to voice thoughts on projects as well as trust on work.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Perks and benefits are fairly standard for a company of this size so no additional comments to make.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Lots of support from my manager and the wider early careers team to identify how to best progress in my career.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Varies week by week depending on the work I am currently completing but over the course of a few months the variety of work means that there are opportunities to develop new skills.

Lots of support from variety of sources across the business including line managers, mentors and buddy's who often have experienced the same process you have.
How is your work-life balance?

Work long hours during the week, reliance on public transport to get to and from work means that in-office days can be quite difficult. But the ability to WFH on a couple days makes the overall balance more manageable. Similarly general work-life balance is standard for a company of this size.
