Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
I have had a pleasant experience. Very friendly environment and excellent work-life balance.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As a Systems Engineer, I was involved in various aspects of the projects that I am involved in. Most of my work revolved around Requirements development and management, understanding customer needs and balancing the companies' standard of quality for delivery. Interacting with all other functions including business, procurement and manufacturing as well as the engineering functions of software, hardware, mechanical, electronics etc. provided me with a very in-depth view of the project while working from a 'big picture' perspective.
There is opportunities to be involved in Verification, Validation, Safety, Behavioural and other teams roles which provide various technical skills and development in specialties.

It is quite with information at the beginning and there can be issue with IT and clearance, so just be patient.
