Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Unilever?
I have really enjoyed my experience so far and learnt a lot of new skills. I found that I was given real, meaningful projects from day 1, being trusted with lots of responsibility despite only just graduating. The UFLP scheme in technology management consists of 6 different rotations around the business, giving you lots of breadth and new experiences which you otherwise may not have.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Although I'm part of the technology management scheme, the UFLP program primarily focuses on developing your soft skills, like people management, project management and public speaking. I'm currently on rotation 3 and have found most of my placements mimic these responsibilities. Personally, I have really enjoyed this as it pushed me out of my comfort zone and given me confidence to perform even when faced with uncertainty. If you're looking to get involved in more technical aspects of work, I would recommend either the cyber security or data analytics stream.
