Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Fantastic, really supportive network for graduate including personal coaches, and of course incredibly interesting day-to-day role
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Analysing requirements fed down from previous stages of development, and concepting these into functional features of the aircraft's mission system modelled in Cameo (SysML). The element I'd say I enjoy the most is being given the freedom and responsibility to think, explore ideas and design in your own way, which is very refreshing.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Research the engineering lifecycle +/ engineering V. Aside from specialisms, this is a core fundamental of the way BAE Systems operates as a business, which shows up as a later question in many interviews and can catch a lot of graduates off-guard, as it's something less so covered at uni and more in industry. Similarly on that note, research widespread engineering/manufacturing business practices like LEAN, 5S, Six-Sigma and the various others, as well as details/history of the individual company itself.
Aside from that, be memorable in your interview - there are many, many applications for positions currently, and you want to be one of the ones that stick out in the recruiter's head.
