Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Conducted due diligence on potential third-party partnerships, assessing legal and regulatory risks to ensure GDPR compliance
and support institutional agreements
Researched the Data (Use and Access) Bill 2025 analysing its commercial and regulatory implications to inform the university’s compliance strategy
Developed and presented a Data Literacy Awareness Package, strengthening stakeholder understanding of data protection
obligations and responsible information management

Yes, I was always consulted first whether I was able to take more workload and supervisors would always check in.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

A lot of guidance. Weekly meetings were held where the manager would check on progress and offer valid solutions to issues I might have faced. Overall, my coworkers were friendly too and always willing to help.
