Lots of great experience. I was able to shadow and work with many experienced Physiotherapists in Australia. My experiences ranged from many ages, conditions and treatments on this placement. It was valuable learning.
How well organised was your experience?

Very organized. The physiotherapy practise was very good at communicating prior to arrival and having everything organized.
To what extent did you enjoy your experience?

I loved it, travelling whilst in University for a learning placement is so beneficial. I got to learn and experience a wide-range of opportunities including sports physiotherapy involvement. The team were great.
How much did your experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

Due to still having further studies and placements, I have still not decided, however knowing I loved the MSK setting on this placement is valuable.

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

Due to it being a five week placement, it allowed me to settle in and gain a wide range of experiences.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

I had a specific tutor however I was able to work with many other physiotherapists and also experience sporting environment.

Why?
Through RGU, I was able to set up an elective placement to enhance my experience and select and plan a placement I would enjoy. It was a great experience.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Robert Gordon University?
Talk to prior students who have been abroad for placements. Talk to personal tutors about available experiences.
