My role is varied, from training and coaching management teams to higher and lower level stakeholders, From building capability in our pubs to developing our teams and give understandings of how to improve on KPI's

Doing the coaching apprenticeship, gave me skills of how to empower others to unlock thier own potential rather than me giving them the answer. Been able to understand questioning techniques and listening skills and has really helped me to evolve this, as well as understanding different reflective models to improve my own personal development and thought process, as well as my behaviours

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager regularly caught up with me to offer support where it was needed and gave me the time i needed to really get into detail and practice my learning after workshops and modules completed

My lifetime and coach where fully supportive and pushed me to my limits where it was needed and helped me to understand how and when to tackle each obstacle I came across
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Gaining the qualification has massively changed the way I approach my role, from been hands on and giving advice to now holding a good conversation to maximimise the coachees potential has had a big impact on everyone i coach. I have highly achieved my KPI's my role by changing the approach i took
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have many activitties in my company to get involved in, I am currently in a working party to support our teams development by looking at different ways of how to take a different approach

Why?
Mitchells and Butler is a great, fun place to work, I have gone through a great development program and progressed into my role. I am encouraged to think out side the box and really feel part of a great team, who work very well collaboratively together. I find great satisfaction working for a company that looks after people first and greatly endorses internal progression
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells and Butlers?
Go in with an open mind and actively seek the learning and development opportunities and explore what is available to you and what support you need to reach where you want to be
