Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Airbus?
The company is very supportive and is very willing to have you. They give you the support to move and also specific knowledge necessary. People are very friendly and are easy to talk to. There is so much going on that there is always tasks to be worked on. The graduate scheme allows you to move around the business for different placements to experience the whole company, not only in your own country but across the world.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
There is lots of technical information that needs to be learnt but there is lots of examples of previously similar tasks. There is management of time between the different tasks to ensure all is done on time and to budget. Technical writing and analysis of data and reports is the day to day job, but this will different when moving to different placements.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
I am an active part in completing deliverables for projects and ensuring tasks are on track. I am able to talk and get support when needed also.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
4/5
Its not too bad but the opportunities to travel and move around the business outweighs the lower starting salary. There is other perks such as health and salary sacrifice schemes that are useful to some also.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
The graduate scheme is aimed at getting you familiar with the business but also giving you the opportunity to upskill in lots of different areas, these skills are then transferable to any future work.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
there is lots to learn day to day about the tasks, I am able to ask my team for help or additional information. Formal training is also good to get a good basis to what we do and any specific processes that need to be followed.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
There is lots of support form before starting. The relevant people are pointed out to you and there is a wide range of people that I can talk to depending on the issue.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
The work hours are very good and the business is quite flexible. there is the opportunity to work 2 days from home and there are core hours you must work but outside of this as long as you complete your contracted hours and have finished your tasks then that is fine.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
Good atmosphere, nurturing and supportive. The culture is good also allowing you to pursue the skills and jobs you want.
How would you rate Airbus initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
Lots of opportunities and employee run groups for a wide range of things.
How would you rate Airbus CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
Lots of events including diversity days and volunteering for stem outreach.

Would you recommend Airbus to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Good company with room to grow and improve. you are not stuck in one place and are free to pursue the opportunities that suit you.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Airbus?
Try to highlight your key skills and outline anything that may set you apart. There are lots of people applying that have similar academic skills, but the extra curricular can set you apart.
