Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I manage recruitment events (job fairs, webinars), launch targeted marketing campaigns to attract talent, and provide operational support to Talent Acquisition teams to optimize candidate hiring.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, absolutely. I was given a significant level of responsibility from early on. Most notably, I took full ownership of key projects, managing everything from initial planning and event logistics to executing targeted candidate recruitment campaigns.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes, definitely. On the technical side, I developed strong event management and recruitment marketing skills, learning how to plan large-scale candidate events from scratch and execute targeted marketing campaigns to attract top talent.
Beyond technical capabilities, I significantly sharpened my project management, cross-functional communication, and stakeholder management skills. Taking full ownership of projects required me to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines and collaborate confidently with both internal Talent Acquisition teams and external partners.

I had a great experience at Airbus. I was surrounded by passionate people and always felt supported, while still having full autonomy on my projects. My team was always there with guidance whenever I needed it.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture at Airbus is truly inspiring, driven by strong core values and a deep commitment to innovation. Being part of an international environment made every day dynamic, working alongside people from all over the world. It was incredible to spend my 10-month placement in a company so dedicated to pioneering sustainable aerospace for a safer, more united world. You really feel the shared purpose behind the work.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement because it offered the perfect mix between HR and Marketing. It allowed me to discover a completely different side of marketing beyond traditional product or operational marketing—focusing instead on candidate attraction and employer branding.
