Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
As a company I've found it a great experience, the business is really good to their employees, the benefits such as flexible working hours and TOIL is really good. The graduate scheme itself I do have a few 'issues' with, there is no rotation, so a lot of the time it can be frustrating that graduates are paid significantly less than professionals when it feels as thought we're doing the same work.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I've had the opportunity to travel both within the UK and abroad, which is a great experience. I've been given tasks that are meaningful and I feel that I've made a big impact in my teams, it's real work I'm doing.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
3/5
I am doing the work of someone of a significantly higher grade than me. This isn't an across the board issue and is localised to myself and my job but it can be very frustrating that I am teaching people multiple grades higher than me.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Flexible working hours make this really good, I've been able to take extra days off, work from home to visit family etc.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
4/5
As a woman in engineering I can sometimes find it a bit overwhelming due to being in an extremely male dominated environment.
How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
4/5
They have a lot of employee resource groups looking into these things that run sessions etc. but day to day and the support from higher ups isn't always 100%
How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
