Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Incredible experience, with hands on learning and a lot of support from senior members of stall allowing for personal development.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
All elements of the software lifecycle, including planning, development, implementation, integration, testing and validating of code.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

During your first year there is little, but there is opportunity for overtime plus expenses are covered by the job.

Pretty decent, but there can be times when it comes down to the project deadlines where you feel like you should be doing more.

The office has a real good environment, everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Pretty decent, there is a lot of initiatives carried out by BAE to improve the local area and community relations.

Its a job where you get a paid a decent wage, and have a lot of time to develop your understanding and skill on multi-million pound projects.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Make sure you have a good understanding of software coming into this job, implementation can only take you so far. Some theories in design and development of code are used everyday and can be more useful than knowing everything about coding.
