Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Really enjoyable and engaging work, that applies some of what I learnt at university, and is helping me learn new skills.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Ensuring products are developed and produced to a good technical level, making use of the latest advancements in software on a worldwide scale and scope.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

At different times, different tasks will be given to my responsibility and team allows me flexibility and freedom to create a solution to any issue I tackle.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The free workplace healthcare, and employee share scheme is great, but I have not found a use for the cashback/discounts, gym benefits (the one I want is not included), and the green car scheme (not of my interest).
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I'm learning about software and its usage, deployment and development in the real world. Gaining experience in building such software and how to think to tackle such tasks.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The technical side is a mix of good-workshops, but also learning-on-the-job and asking for help, but the soft-side is really good, through engaging workshops.

Good support from teammates, but trying to gain knowledge and guidance from line managers and higher ups is a little tricky.

A really inclusive, growing and integral company that stands for good values. It has great credibility, and is a great place to start a career with good mentality of looking after their employees.

Do it as early as possible! Security clearance and vetting can take a while!
