Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
My experience has been extremely positive. Everybody is very supportive and happy to provide help when required. I have been exposed to lots of different areas of the business and it has given me an excellent opportunity to understand the business better, but also to network and meet new people.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My graduate job is made up of different placements, 3 x 6-month placements across an 18 month period. My first placement was within the HR Leadership & Strategy team which was very enjoyable. I was involved in helping to develop our people and leadership, growing and sustaining an accountable and motivated workforce. I supported the delivery of performance management. I was also involved in recognition tools as well as the opportunity to present to the wider HR team. My second placement has been business facing and is more helping people with queries around policies and procedures, availability and providing support within a function area.
