Overview of the Role

Integrate technical inputs from various teams and present back to the customer.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
4/5
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
3/5
Decent salary for a graduate position, benefits could be improved as many are not as good value for base rate tax payers. Holiday package is not the best, only 25 days, some of which you do not get to choose so effective holiday entitlement is lower.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
4/5
Good if I stay in similar roles, but limited applicability to other roles/industries
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
3/5
Not enough formal training specific to job role, but I am learning on the job

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
4/5
How is your work-life balance?
3/5
long commute and frequent last minute changes/cancellations of meetings. But hybrid arrangement is good
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
3/5
Generally good but limited exposure to industry outside of defence, less progressive than other workplaces/industries, quite hierarchical
How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
4/5
How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
2/5
it's a defence company so hard to justify a higher rating, but does engage with other events quite well.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Generally good workplace with interesting work and opportunities, good salary and career progression with plenty of cope to move roles internally. Well respected company
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
2/5
Had almost no idea what I was signing up for
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Understand that the scope of the role is huge, you may have the same job title as someone but have entirely different roles and responsibilities
