Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
My experience at BAE Systems has been great. Having come into the company with no prior Finance/Accounting experience was daunting. However, through the help of my colleagues and manager I learnt quickly. I have had the opportunity to do amazing things and meet amazing people.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main roles were invoicing, debtor/creditor management, order intake, order book reconciliations, hedge effectivity, stakeholder management and more. I enjoyed working alongside the treasury team on the hedge effectivity task as it was challenging and I learnt a lot.

It is an amazing company that presents with great opportunities to develop. During the time that I have been here I have not come across an individual that wasn't willing to help me when I had questions.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Do your research about the company and it's core values. Understand why you want to work there and why you want to do that role specifically. Not everyone that ends up in Finance comes from that background, but all of them show a genuine interest in the area and a desire to learn.
