Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
My experience so far has been very positive with any needed support and assistance being provided. I have been given the opportunity to have a meaningful contribution to the company almost immediately after completing the required training.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The main responsibility is understanding the relevant system and then applying that knowledge to create and review relevant documents and processes.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The perks and benefits I find the most valuable is the pension and as well as the extensive available benefits such as discount's and deals on certain retailers.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Due to the role, I am being provided with many training opportunities to learn new skills to help with my future career. However my day to day job is focused on a specific topic so the skills are the main take away.

I have been provided with numerous learning opportunities for new skills and formal training as well as the ability to find any new training I am interested in being able to complete it.

How is the support you receive?

I receive all the necessary support I need with regular meetings with my line manager where we discuss my current and future tasks. So far there is nothing missing for me.

The work life balance is great due to the flexible hours.

The atmosphere is great with everyone being willing to help with whatever you need, you just need to ask.

Numerous online events are held regularly around these topics with emails being sent out to make sure that everyone who want to can attend.
How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

There are regular initiatives going on, one that comes to mind recently is a sleep out to raise awareness and funds for homeless veterans.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

You get given a buddy when you accept the role who before you officially join the company can answer any question you have and provide insight into the role you have accepted.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
It is best to apply as early as you can as the application process takes a few months to complete. Depending on where you apply you could be expected to do a considerable amount of traveling in the first month on the job due to training.
