Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
The graduate scheme has been very helpful in bridging the gap between graduating university and getting my first job in industry. Generally, the company seems to care about their employees and their development.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Coordinating with suppliers, reviewing documentation, modelling in MATLAB, managing requirements, model-based systems engineering in Enterprise Architect.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team are very friendly and helpful. I quickly came to feel that I was a key part of the team, and that the work I was doing was important and meaningful.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The only benefit I have taken advantage of is the Matched Shares Scheme, where you can buy up to £75 worth of shares a month, that the company then matches. However, I believe you have to stay with them for at least 5 years to be able to sell the matched shares.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Throughout the Graduate scheme I have gained key Systems Engineering skills that I feel I would be able to apply throughout my career.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

There is formal training available, however it is sometimes hard to get onto courses, or there aren't many available.
