Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Brilliant, great culture, very supportive and has allowed me to grow professionally. I find my role very interesting too and the stretch assignments and benefits are also great
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Main responsibilities are working on the fuel system design team for F35 and typhoon, so creating fixes to problems, supporting in service platforms, writing and proposing improvements etc. I find the problem solving side really enjoyable
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Contributed on GCAP and towards fixes to problems on in service platforms, I feel very valued for this.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Pretty good generally, however, the ongoing pay dispute does make our work feel a bit under-appreciated at times
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Extremely well, i have developed a great personal development plan. Great support on professional registration too
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Formal training wise, some of the sessions are excellent and very beneficial to the role, some modules of PE are good too for it, however, some PE modules are a bit lacking

No complaints wrt mentors, the mentors I received are excellent, great advice and very helpful. Line manager has been great for support too but he's sometimes a bit busy so cant support all of the time. Buddy was next to useless

It really wasn't as described, need to put more accurate descriptions out there wrt roles and responsibility, but I am happy in my role - better than anticipated
