Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Overall, experience is relatively positive when it comes to training and the team, however, there are issues with placement of graduates in that I am a mechanical engineer with multiple years of experince in design engineering for electro mechanical systems and now do nothing where this skill is utilised and I am unable to move positions.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Documentation and analysis of documentation.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team value the work I do a lot and I am involved in loads of different things but it does feel a waste of my previous skillset which I trained and have set out to be my career.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I mean no one is going to do it for free so seems a little of a silly question but I am aware that we get paid more than the average graduate engineer in the UK

I'm not developing any of my existing skills in my current job role due to where I was placed byt eh early careers team, but I am learning a lot of new ones as I have never experienced this sort of work before in cyber security as a mechanical engineering student

Given the nature of the work I think it is important but sometimes can be a little odd as well given where I am based

It doesn't I am a mechanical engineer who applied for a systems engineering role and am now a product security analyst graduate and have been since starting it does not align to the position i applied for

Be clear in the interview what it is you want to do as they will listen to this more than look at your CV
