Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Excellent, I think the company is great and offers real work to it's graduates, and provides numerous programmes focussed at personal development.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
There is a technical side to the role, which requires me to assess changes being made to different equipment, and whether they pose a concern. I also have the people side to the role, which requires me to discuss problems with stakeholders, to try to find optimal solutions to problems. I enjoy both aspects of the role highly.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
I get given similar work to what other more experienced engineers receive, and I get support when needed, to be able to fulfil that work. I get praise and recognition when I perform a task well.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
The company offers a great pension, a competitive salary, a great share incentive scheme, and plenty of opportunity to do overtime if I wish. There is also a lot of chances to travel.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
Very well.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
There is plenty of work to do, and ample opportunity to get involved in different things for rounding out my knowledge. Formal training is offered often.

I feel very supported.
How is your work-life balance?

5/5
One of the friendliest places I have worked.
How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
