Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?

I loved my experience working here. The staff have been so welcoming and friendly, being happy to help you learn and develop. The scheme itself is so well thought out, aiming to develop you professionally but also personally

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Within the SOC graduate role, the main aspect is being able to rotate around teams, to get a broader idea of what they all do, what aligns to yourself, and a bigger picture of the mission

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Personally, I’ve felt incredibly valued in every team I’ve been in. In meetings, if I have an idea or a question, everyone listens and answers. My work is rewarded

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

There’s a lot of activity within the company for benefits, as there is a portal for this. I have also joined the share scheme, upped my pension. Aaand the pay is good

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I feel incredibly prepared for my future career. Not only have I been able to identify what I work well in and what I want to do, but I’ve been able to grasp a bigger picture of the mission and how teams work together to achieve this

Why?

Since joining the company, I have recommended the company to so many friends and family. It’s such an inclusive place to work, with a brilliant culture.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

4/5

I would’ve put this as 5 stars, my only caveat being that when I applied, the job role seemed very vague. This was due to the fact that, you’re placed into a team when you join which is based on your interview and degree etc. therefore, the job listing is vague as you could end up in any team.
