Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Arm?
I am really enjoying my experience at Arm. The office is a great place to work with friendly people and yummy food. Everyday you also get to help shape the future of technology.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My role is very interesting. I work at the intersection between engineering the technologies of the future and understanding different industries are technology is targeting. The element of my role I enjoy the most is seeing the impact Arm's technology has in the wider world and working with our ecosystem to help grow this impact further.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
My team are good at getting me involved in what we are working on and giving me work that aligns with these broader goals while still being achievable for me. My manager is invested in developing my skills and understanding to support me in my future career.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
In addition to base salary you receive RSUs (restricted stock units)!
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
The graduate program run by the Early Careers team at Arm has a strong focus on giving us the skills to help us shape our future careers. Most graduate roles in Arm also offer rotation opportunities which enable you to join different teams within Arm while you are a graduate to explore what areas you enjoy most.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
4/5
I am regually exposed to new technology and industry specific terminology. While there are some formal training courses most of the new skills I have picked up have been through getting involved and just giving things a go. If you are ever stuck there will always be someone you can ask who is happy to help.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
My line manager is very supportive in helping me grow within the company and enabling me to work on things that align with my interests and personal career goals. Having a buddy is very helpful - this is often someone in your team (but not your manager) who you can ask random questions to. Finally, joining a company with some many graduates (in the 2025 cohort there are over 300+ grads worldwide) is also great as you can build a supportive peer network.
How is your work-life balance?
4/5
Working at a tech company that has offices worldwide is very exciting but can create some practical challenges when arranging meetings that span multiple timezones. That said Arm's culture places a big emphasis on finding a good work-life balance which is reflected in the benefits package which includes a Day of Care every quarter and Sabbaticals.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
Arm has an excellent company culture that is friendly, welcoming and impact focused. Rather than focus on 10% improvement Arm employees are encouraged to strive for 10x impact.
How would you rate Arm initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
Arm is a diverse place to work and within Arm diversity is celebrated.
How would you rate Arm CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
At Arm every employee is entitled to volunteer 1 day a month of their working time to a cause of their choice. The Arm Social Impact team find and organise many meaningful volunteering opportunities, including sessions where you can use your engineering skills to help other organisations and charities who are developing technology that is having a positive impact on the world (either socially or environmentally).

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Arm to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Arm is a great company to work for because of its friendly culture and the vast amount of opportunities available to its employees. Working at Arm also enables you to have a genuine impact on the technologies of the future.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
The role I am now in and the work I get to do exceeds my expectations from when I first applied to work at Arm.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Arm?
Prepare well for the interviews and try and let your interests and passion for technology shine through. For graduate roles having all the right skills is often less important than having a good attitude for learning and genuine interest. After each stage of the application I would also recommend following up with Early Careers for an update on the status of your application if you don't hear anything in the timeframe you were expecting.
