Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Arm?
Everyone has been very welcoming and eager to help. There is a lot of support for moving and finding accommodation, and they are willing to teach you all that you need to know.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I am still in onboarding due to the amount of new skills and information to acquire, but people have been very patient and accommodating.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am currently in onboarding and the role is outside of my field so a lot of work is being put into getting me to a position to contribute meaningfullly.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

There are plenty of benefits from Arm and they are all easy to access from health to pensions.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Arm puts a lot of effort in long term training and employment, especially within the company. It is not the type to kick you out the door after 2 years, and it is an entry role into an interesting sector/career path.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

This role is removed from my area of study so most of the skills required I am learning from scratch, and a lot of effort is being put into providing materials and support.

How is the support you receive?

My team has been eager to help in any way they can and have taken time out for multiple instances of 1:1 training as well as links to resources for independent learning.
How is your work-life balance?

There is no overtime and in my team there is no pressure to work beyond your hours or means, they encourage pacing yourself in a way to not get burnt out. While hours are fixed due to work from home there is an impression that as long as you are available and work is completed there is some flexibility.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

All are friendly, there is not strict hierarchy and people have been willing to help. The work is hybrid currently at 20% in work and people are flexible with how they treat that.

There are multiple ERG groups holding talks and events which you can be involved in.
How would you rate Arm CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

Time is allotted for volunteering every month and they hold room for multiple initiatives.

I was aware of the role, while the technical side was less expected I am simply new to the industry.
