Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
BAE is a supportive company with endless opportunities. I have thoroughly enjoyed challenging myself and my development by taking up new opportunities throughout the company.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My roles involves leading a project team on a highly complex project. I am responsible for ensure the product is delivered on time, within scope, and costs.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

5 - I feel I make a strong and meaningful contribution to my team and the wider business, through ownership of my own areas of the projects, making a real impact on the wider business.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

5 - The role exposes me to a vast array of scenarios and issues which all aid in my development to be prepared to manage similar scenarios later on throughout my career, as my scope of responsibility increases.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

4 - I have opportunities to undertake formal qualifications throughout my role. In my current role as a graduate, I am capped at foundational qualifications, however, further opportunities for formal development are available to me after exiting the graduate scheme (18 Months)

5 - There are lots of different support networks available at BAE. Be that through your line management, HR, Early Careers, or other members of your team. Everyone is willing to support you in your development.
How is your work-life balance?

4 - The company promote a good work-life balance, through offering support and guidance on how to best manage the both. However, due to my role, and the accountability it involves, I can be hard to completely switch off outside of work.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

5 - The culture is very welcoming and supportive, with only positive values and behaviours promoted.
How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

5 - The company has a strong culture around equality, diversity and inclusion. There is no place for it at BAE Systems, and support networks are always available to support anyone who feels they are being discriminated against.

5 - Throughout the graduate scheme you are encouraged to undertake 'STRETCH' tasks, which often involve a CSR ethos, allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to your local community while at work.
