Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Assisting my line manager by doing tasks she sets me. These range on a daily basis but all of them assist in manageing numerous estates. These can be desk based tasks in the office, or out of office jobs around the estates. Everyday is different!!
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given projects that I was to take control of during the duration of my placement. These were for me to complete and follow throigh to the end producing the final outcome to my line manager.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt how to use new progreammes such as PTM Pr Mapping, I have learnt how to use GIS mapping devices.
My excel skilss have developed, now knowing how to format celss to ensure clear and interactive spreadsheets can be produced.
I feel my investagative, problem solving skills have improved through being set tasks I wasnt initially sure on and working them out.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I recieved all the support I required through my placement. This was not just from my line manager but from other collegues aswell. Nothing was ever too much to ask of anyone, at any level of the work place hierarchy.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is like no other!! everyone is so friendly, welcoming and supportive. There is other extra curricular activities to get involved in, for example I joined the work netball team, this brings the wider company together, so you meet other in diffrent departments.

I could not have enjoyed myself more. I feel like I have learnt so much that I can take into my last year of university that will really excel my studies.

I you have the opportunity to apply then do it! you are really given a very hands on experience, a real "Leanr it on the job" type experience. It is an amazing place that nurtures you on the beginning stages of your surveying career
