Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have currently been creating tutorials on different Microsoft 365 applications to help staff members across the organisation to gain a better understanding of how to use these applications. These tutorial pages will be shared internally for all staff members. I also have another project which entails checking each sharepoint workspace and checking the permissions each member has and making sure they have the right level of access.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have only been working for HRP for a little over a month however I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far and have found a lot of support across the organisation from the staff here.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed skills in various different M365 applications such as Sharepoint, Loop and Insights. I have also developed on my time management skills since I've started working for HRP which has helped me become more organised. As I have only been here for a little over a month I still have a lot to learn!
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I have found my programme to be very organised with the help of my line manager. I rarely find myself lost or not knowing what I am meant to be currently doing or will be doing in the coming days/weeks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has already given me a lot of support whether that is through my line manager, my mentor or through my weekly 1-2-1s with my 'Buddy' who is an apprentice who started the year before.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training provider helps me gain more knowledge and experience in the subject so that I can apply it in real life scenarios at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are many different activities you can get involved with, such as the 5 Palace walk which is a walk that starts from Hampton Court Palace all the way to the Tower of London while visiting some of the other palaces on the way. There are also sports teams such as the football team.

Would you recommend Historic Royal Palaces to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend it to a friend, as from the first day I arrived I have been welcomed by all the staff who have been extremely kind and helpful to me. It is also an incredible place to work as you could working in one of the many Palaces that the organisation look after such as Hampton Court Palace, Tower of London, Kew Palace etc. They also provide a lot of support throughout the apprenticeship as I have weekly check-ins with my line manager, and also have frequent check ins, to see how I'm doing, with a mentor. . The salary is also very good for an apprenticeship.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Historic Royal Palaces?
I would say to just be yourself, as HRP are just looking for authentic people who can help the organisation grow.
