Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Arm?
The onboarding process was excellent. The early career team and my manager were well prepared before I came in, giving me both general and tailored training in my first month.
Culture wise, everyone is literally super nice and willing to help. I know a lot of people say this but it truly is here. As a graduate I do ask dumb questions sometimes but seniors/managers/director are always there to help.
Aside from that, the company takes good care of its employee by providing great food, free gym, and all sorts of benefit.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I rotate in various teams in the Finance and Operation department and each rotation is 6 months. I now work with two teams that have different busy weeks during a month and help both team with their workloads. Such arrangement is also super thoughtful as they want me to get lots of exposure and have even workload throughout the months. I enjoy that I am learning a lot, given the access and responsibilities of both teams. If I feel like stretching myself, I can always ask for more and harder responsibilities.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
I believe 5/5. Aside from my daily routine tasks, my line manager also designed a project for me that's going to make tangible impact on the team's process. I do not need in depth understanding of the technical matter to make such improvement but do require a bit of project and resource management throughout the 6 months to achieve that. My line manager is also there for me to guide me to members of other team for advice and anything I may need. I love this part.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
Yes the compensation here is great as well compare to similar grad scheme. Aside from base salary we also get RSUs which is company's stock as bonus, which is appealing. Also, aside from 25 days of annual vacation, we get 1 extra day every quarter as the "day of care" to make a long weekend.
Wellness wise, there's free gym, free onsite fitness class every day, lower than market meals that is made to order, and all sorts of wellness service. However, I haven't explore the group discount etc..
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
My line manager is actually a senior manager so she has enough experience to mentor me. She is organized, thoughtful, and gives me all the space and time I need to complete my work in my own style, but she's there when I need anything. I do believe she will be super helpful on my way of career progression.
After 2 years of rotation, I hope I can land in a team that I truly like and grow professionally there.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
I am gaining new understanding of the team and function by doing actual work more than training. Issues don't come up until I actually do it, and I believe I benefit from that part the most.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
As mentioned previously, I love my line manager. She's super organized, thoughtful, and helpful - everything I could imagine from a good line manager.
I also have a buddy that joined Arm 2 years earlier than me, and he actually lives in the same area as me coincidently. He gave me lots of advice and took me out for lunch (sponsored by Arm). I think the buddy scheme is a great arrangement.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Honestly, great. Aside from the busiest time of a month, everyone basically leaves at 5pm unless there's urgent deadline to meet. There's no micromanagement and no overtime usually. We just need to complete our work to a high standard.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
How would you rate Arm initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
I am still new and not familiar with this part yet.
How would you rate Arm CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
Arm give's everyone half-a day every month to volunteer for any initiatives we would like. I feel like thats a lot because thats more than a week in a year.
