Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was in charge of creating social media for the company and running the website. This involved creating graphics and writing posts for LinkedIn and creating and editing web pages on our site.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of responsibility and my team had a lot of trust in me in handling serious tasks.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learned lot of new skills even down to the basics like how to properly structure an email and how to use outlook. I have also really improved upon my communication and presentation skills, learning to speak up during meetings and also how to effectively present to a large group of people.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture at Siemens is great. Everyone is truly happy to work there which is so refreshing. Even on my first day I had people coming over to chat to me and welcome as if they had met me before. It made the transition so much easier.
