Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I worked in a design team, on drawings for actual projects in my first year, and more recently I have been leading projects using AI and drones to make work safer and more efficient for people on a power station.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Due to relatively small hiring numbers, a lot of focus is on us, and we get a lot of opportunities that we would not get in many other companies, I have been lucky enough to work on some incredibly exciting projects and make an actual difference in the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have vastly improved my engineering knowledge, confidence presenting, and confidence talking to highly experienced engineers

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very well organised, both at work and at Uni
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
very good support team, and everyone I have worked with has given me plenty of support if I need more time at uni or anything
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Lots of support, and access to all facilities like any normal student paying for their degree would have
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Whilst a lot of it doesn't overlap yet, the core knowledge needed for engineering is very important, and it definitely helps me. it is also a very good degree from the University of Nottingham
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Loads of networks you can join, and you can set up your own if you see fit. You are also a student, so can access all the societies you want at uni

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend E.ON UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Best career choice I could have made, it has allowed me to do so many things I couldn't have otherwise done, both professionally and personally, the apprenticeship scheme is very good, with decent pay (which increases a good amount if you work hard and do well at uni), on top of paying for my degree, and I'm very happy I am here :)
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON UK?
get in a lot of interview practice, it can be very tough, even if you have amazing grades, and don't underestimate how competitive it will be. Be creative, be memorable and be yourself
