Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
My experience has been a very positive one, full of unique opportunities to learn and grow in my career whilst feeling supported by my team and the wider Savills community.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The responsibilities within my role vary daily and seasonally, to meet the demands of my clients. I do a lot of property and tenant management, and assist in the more technical aspects of agricultural management.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I a given large amounts of freedom to make the choices I feel most appropriate, whilst acting in a supported environment. I can see the direct impact of my work in providing a quality service for my clients.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

We receive an annual bonus, and access to the private healthcare facilites. As well as the 'My Rewards' programme, which provides various deals and discounts for shopping and experiences.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I am able to assist the more senior members of staff with the higher level management requirements of a client, which has given me insight into my future career.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The formal training offered to assist with your APC is of a particularly high quality, and Savills take a very hands on approach to training its annual intake of graduates.

How is the support you receive?

Proactive and responsive HR team
I was provided with a mentor when I first joined that provided a space for informal discussions and any questions.
My line manager is also my supervisor for my APC, and provides a high level of support.
How is your work-life balance?

There is a good work/life balance in my office, with the team prioritising making sure that people are not overworking, take their lunch breaks, and is supportive of responsibilities outside of the office.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

I work in a friendly and inclusive office, that has made me feel welcome and valued since I joined. the expectation is that we are in the office, to encourage more a team environment, but WFH is allowed where required, and the avoid unnecessary extra travel.
How would you rate Savills initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
3/5
There is a lot of focus on diversity and inclusion and a push to bridge the gender gap at both a graduate and higher management level.
How would you rate Savills CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
4/5
Savills provide designated time to devote t charity work, and contributing to the community. It also runs a Savills with Schools initiative, encouraging us to attend careers conventions and speak at educational facilities about the opportunities at Savills

The role has had a larger agricultural focus than I had anticipated or felt was advertised. The day-to-day property management was as I had expected from the recruitment process.
