Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
The work at Savills is engaging and plentiful, but the graduate scheme and BPC lack reliability. The rules and expectations change regularly, which can be frustrating and confusing for those on the scheme.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibilities include supporting with project work, assisting senior colleagues, and contributing to various instructions, which gives me exposure to a wide range of tasks. I particularly enjoy the variety of work and the opportunity to learn from the many experienced professionals at Savills. However, at times I feel the graduate role focuses too much on keeping you in a ‘grad’ position, rather than encouraging independence and teaching you how to work more individually

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
No
Why?
As an individual from an e, I personally would not recommend Savills to my peers. While the company has strengths, the graduate scheme structure is not particularly effective. The two-year rotational model does not allow enough time to gain meaningful experience in each role, and I feel I would have benefited more from joining a company that offered direct entry into one area without rotations
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
2/5
Entered with the choice of Building surveying/ Project management on a hybrid basis, later on only allowed to persue Building surveying, with a requirement to be in the office 5 days a week
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?
