Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
Positive, I have learnt alot from my colleagues.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
undertaking building surveys, site inspections, meeting with clients and contractors. Writing up specifications in the office.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I get plenty of opportunity to work with my colleages on their work whilst being allowed to prioritise my own jobs also.

They meet with my semi-regularly. I think the value of peoples time limits their capacity to have time for you.
How is your work-life balance?

During term time when I am doing my masters degree, they are more strained however, in summer time the balance is much better.

Good, people are hardworking and driven whilst also mindful you need to have a laugh every now and then .

I think that more could be done and the proportion of extremely privileged graduates is very high.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

The role largely matched my expectations. I thought that the learning would be more in depth, you are very much just thrown in on your own. However, many people learn this way.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?
Read the RICS guidance. I was not aware of how much Savills push RICS, which is something from the inside which looks so clear but perhaps when you are new to the industry it isn't well known.
