Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
Great learning experience and enjoyable to enter the corporate world.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I have done 12 months (double rotation) in property management. I have been responsible for service charge budgets, reconciliations, rent ups, turnover calculations and tenant queries.
I am co-founder of the Badminton weekly club in the Birmingham office. I am also head of the sustainability enablers.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am extremely client facing and have been brought into numerous client meetings. I am responsible for quarterly reports to deliver the stats.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Compared to other companies, Savills pays less in comparison. But the gym/free coffee and pension scheme are good benefits.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Excellent. As I am on rotation, I am getting to learn a lot about different parts of surveying.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I am always learning new skills and tasks. I do not get told exactly how to carry out a task, but i investigate solving the issue myself which means I remember better.

Brilliant, I had a savills buddy when i first started. Also, the fellow grad and apprentice network is a great resource as we are all in the same position.
How is your work-life balance?

I have had a few late nights working on reports. Furthermore, I am also undertaking a part time masters which is time consuming for my weekends and evenings.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The property management team I am in is hugely beneficial as the largest team in the office. I always feel comfortable asking questions and having a laugh. Very inclusive environment to work in.
