Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My internship started with Valuation Training. After the first week, I was included on various client projects and set assignments. I had regular meetings with my mentor and supervisor to check I was comfortable with my workload and monitor my progress.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given tasks for client-work, but all my work was checked and I received detail feedback for it.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Over the internship, I learned a huge amount about the defined benefit pension sector in the uk, I strengthened my proficiency in Excel and I improved my work management skills.

I received a huge amount of support over my internships. I had regular meetings with my mentor and supervisor and spoke to them frequently. I always had multiple colleagues to ask for help with any of the work I was struggling with.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was supportive and sociable. We ate lunch together everyday and there were frequent socials. I felt very comfortable asking for help and advice from my colleagues.
We were integrated with other teams in the office and met colleagues from the Bristol office as well.
I was very grateful for such a strong support network.
