Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Vodafone?
My experience at Vodafone has been dynamic, collaborative, and full of learning opportunities. As part of the Discover Graduate Programme, I’ve had the chance to work across different teams and projects, particularly within Digital & IT Strategy and Architecture Governance, which has given me exposure to both technical and strategic aspects of software engineering. As part of the graduate scheme, I’ve had the opportunity to work across several youth-focused initiatives such as the Vodafone Coding Club, NOVA, and the Youth Committee, which regularly organises events to bring together the youth cohort and graduate stream representatives. These experiences have been both enriching and fun, offering chances to challenge myself through activities like the Hackathon, and to focus on wellbeing through thoughtful initiatives like Spirit Day.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibilities have focused on enterprise architecture, where I’ve contributed to making strategic decisions and identifying ways to improve processes across Vodafone. Beyond that, I’ve taken on leadership roles through youth initiatives which has allowed me to connect with others across the business. I really enjoy the opportunity to try new things, work with a supportive manager and team, and speak to a wide range of colleagues about their journeys, this has helped me grow my network and discover new opportunities.
