Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year as a Graduate Planner at Savills. I have been able to get involved in such a wide range of projects which has vastly expanded my skills set and given my valuable skills and knowledge to continue to progress in my sector of work.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My job involves research, planning application monitoring, project management tasks, liaising with clients and other consultants, site visits, and report writing.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team always encourage me to give my opinion and contribute in team meetings. I feel my opinion is valued within my team and I am gaining the confidence required to fulfil more aspects of my role.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

My role is preparing me very well for a career in Planning as I am constantly being exposed to new projects, new clients and different day to day tasks. No day is ever the same.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Due to the large number of projects I have involvement in, my skills set is increasing every day.

The support I receive is great, I feel valued and well looked after.
How is your work-life balance?

The work load can get a lot, but my line manager is great at helping me prioritise tasks and develop the skills I need to get quicker at jobs and prioritise my time.

There are always volunteering roles to be getting involved in. I have also had the opportunity to be a part of the Graduate Charity Committee to raise money for the Charity Centre Point.
