Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Carry out mathematical research to pick out the best method in order to go about a certain task, and then implement that into Python. Taking part in 3-4 meetings a week, sometimes with the customer. Getting the opportunity to present my work face-to-face with the customer as well as other people at BAE.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given quite a lot of responsibility on my internship. I was tasked with extending the team's capability in a certain area, and the work I did will have informed much of the future work that the team will do.

I received plenty of support from my managers. I was in quite a close knit team, so whenever I needed help they were always there to provide it.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Company culture was good, everyone was very helpful. There were quite a lot of socials and sporting clubs that allowed for a nice general atmosphere, even during work.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed it quite a bit. There were points where the progress of work felt quite slow, but these didn't last long and overall I enjoyed the responsibility I was given. The work itself was very interesting
