Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
I have had a great experience at Savills so far. I feel supported in my role and feel I am getting the right training for my APC and career. My team is great and I enjoy the work that I do.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I do not rotate. I do project management for building projects. I work in project planning and coordination making programmes, monitoring progress, and coordinating within teams. I do contract administration, procurement, tendering, and cost management. I assist in budget management, cost tracking, and preparing reports. I also deal directly with clients to ensure their needs are met and they are kept informed.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I feel pushed to make contributions and engage fully with our projects, but supported in this and given the tools to succeed.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Some benefits are only accessible after qualifying. I feel the pay is average for the sector and region. Some companies might pay more, but may not have the APC support that Savills provides.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I do feel that the experience I am getting it preparing me well. I do feel that the APC/Career support overall at Savills is very good, but there will be differences between managers/offices/pathways in how this support is given.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I am getting great day to day training with opportunities to take on responsibilities and learn every day.

What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Depending on which team you are in their working pattern may be different. I work from home occasionally and am often out on a building site and working from there for the day. I feel my team is very kind and welcoming.
How would you rate Savills initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

There is a great team dedicated to this and they put on good events and learning opportunities for all. I think that Savills really does try to make the workplace accessible and promote diversity and inclusion.

Why?
I like working here and enjoy what I do. I think the company as a whole is great and supports people to be their best. I think that they have good values and goals and I am happy to a part of it.

For project management it is important show what you know, but also show that you can talk to people and be a team player.
