Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I worked within Project Finance, specifically the trading and reporting team. The role involved different tasks which typically rollover on a monthly basis. Tasks involved excel and data input and liaising with other teams within finance.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a fair amount of responsibility in regards to daily tasks and my team were very receptive when I sought opportunities to take on more.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I've significantly developed my excel skills through daily tasks and projects I took on (developing improvements to the excel files my team used on a frequent basis). Also generally able to develop soft skills such as communication and teamwork.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Overall I enjoyed my placement. At times, I felt as though I didn't have many 'day to day' tasks to complete so ensured I used my time effectively (e.g. networking, learning) outside of these.
