Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
Good. The reason I chose Savills as my first career role is the support they give to graduates. In this respect my experience has been very good. There are many other graduates and the graduate scheme is run smoothly and competently.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I have shifted roles over the course of the graduate scheme. My current role involves understanding and demonstrating the costs, benefits and other socio-economic impacts of pretty much all development types, from residential to commercial, energy and social infrastructure uses.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team is particularly successful in this regard, however I would caution that not all other teams are the same. This was the primary reason for moving from my previous team to the new role.
How would you rate Savills initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

Generally, the industry as a whole is not very inclusive. Savills is relatively average on this point.
How would you rate Savills CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

There is an emphasis on social value and sustainability for the company as a whole. However, for individual teams there is less of an opportunity or focus on these matters.

As mentioned, Savills is a great place to start your career. You learn from different individuals across different backgrounds and different career paths, and have the opportunity to try out the tasks and projects you like.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?
Rather than anything abstract, I would say demonstrate that you know the industry well and have an interest in it. Demonstrate specific knowledge of industry-specific debates and developments.
