Overall, my experience at Savills has been incredibly rewarding. As a Graduate Energy Surveyor at Savills, my role involves supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects, particularly in landowner negotiations, site assessments, and reviewing commercial terms. I assist with drafting and reviewing Heads of Terms, liaising with clients and developers, attending site visits, and contributing to strategic planning documents like farming calendars and development timelines.
I particularly enjoy the variety and exposure the role offers — from engaging directly with clients and landowners to analysing commercial viability and planning strategy. Working on projects like the wind farm development with Pacific Green Energy has been especially rewarding, as it combines technical insight with stakeholder collaboration. The team environment and mentorship from colleagues have also made the experience both educational and enjoyable.

My role gives me a strong opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued within the team. I’m trusted to take ownership of tasks, support key projects, and offer input during discussions, which makes the work feel purposeful. There’s a clear sense that my contributions are recognised, and I’m encouraged to develop professionally through exposure to a variety of responsibilities. The collaborative environment and open communication also help reinforce that my work is appreciated and impactful.
