Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
Enjoyable, varied, and exciting. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year on the graduate scheme at Savills. It has given me a wide range of experience and has been a great start to my career in property.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Residential valuation, consultancy & agency work while ultimately working towards my APC. I particularly enjoy the opportunities to travel for property & site inspections, as well as all the networking opportunities, client events, and sports events.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I assist fee earners with jobs to help meet annual billings target and divisional targets. I meet monthly with my line manager who makes sure I am happy with my position and work.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Annual benefit is linked to my notional billing sum. A general feeling of hard work being rewarded and celebrated within my team.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

How is the support you receive?

Very good support from within my team; line manager, APC councillor/supervisor, and buddy. Lots of checking in and scope for feedback, which where given, has been acted on. Also strong level of support from the wider company HR with regular opportunities to provide feedback and explore opportunities.
How is your work-life balance?

Very good - managers regularly check in to make sure my workload is manageable.

Why?
I have had a brilliant first year and have had the chance to meet lots of people, get involved in numerous work events and jobs, and develop my soft skills. Strong level of support and feedback from my team and the wider business.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?
Be yourself - avoid using AI databases such as Chat GTP. Research Savills values and make your answers company specific. Talk to as many people (other candidates and directors) as you can on the assessment day.
