Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

In my role within Bloomberg I support clients globally by answering real-time queries through our Instant Bloomberg system and helping them maximize the value of our products.
Day to day, this involves problem-solving across asset classes, educating clients on new tools and features, and collaborating with Sales on onboarding and product rollouts.
Over time, the role evolves into a more consultative, client-facing position in Sales, focused on building relationships and driving business growth.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes in terms of sales we had a lot of autonomy as to how we pitch and what we talk about etc. On the analytics side, we never actually went on queue, which apparently is a major aspect of day to day tasks as a graduate.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of support which originated from a range of mentors and managers on a fairly reg. basis, the mid year eval is an especially good idea.
